We stayed in their Deluxe Four Seasons Executive Suite which was perfect for my family of four. This suite offers a large living area with a minibar and full bathroom. There is also a balcony with seating for two, offering views of their outdoor pool and beautiful surrounding mountains. The sofa in the living area doubles as a pull out bed. The separated bedroom had a king size bed, and a master ensuite with double sinks, soaker tub and separate shower.
One of the amenities we always look for when travelling with the kids is the hotel pool. Four Seasons Whistler outdoor heated pool is surrounded by beautiful pine trees and majestic views of the surrounding mountains. Poolside service is also available.
We were fortunate enough to partake in the 2017 Bici Gusti Gourmet Bike Ride hosted by the Four Seasons Resort. This gourmet bike ride takes a group of 70 riders on a 70km tour around Whistler and Callaghan Valley. This ride is great for cyclists, of any level, who enjoy a gourmet food experience.
It was a benefit to find out that the Four Seasons Resort offered childcare services for its guest. The baby sitters are pre-screened and arrive to your room at the scheduled time. We took advantage of this service to have a rare date night. After the sitter arrived, we left for dinner and headed down to the hotel’s renowned steak house, SIDECUT. The restaurant offers a modern take on traditional mountain cuisine. A sleek wood interior offers an inviting setting for diners or you can choose to bask in the sun soaked patio.
We started our evening with Oceanwise Pan Seared Scallops served with frisse, lardon, onsen egg, and fingerling potato.
SIDECUT features perfectly cooked and seasoned steak and other premium proteins paired with a wide selection of sides that range from decadent to diet-friendly. Since this was our first visit, our waitress suggested a 12 oz. Ribeye steak from Alberta seasoned with their popular Black Angus seasoning. It was perfectly cooked to a med-rare.
Four types of sauces are provided for the steak of your choosing.
The second dish we shared was a Mixed Seafood with Oceanwise seabass, salmon, scallop, and prawn.
To accompany our meals we also ordered roasted fingerling potatoes and sauteed mushrooms with sherry. If you are a mushroom lover, this is a must order!
To make our last morning memorable for our kids at Four Seasons Resort in Whistler, we ordered in-room dining for them to enjoy on the balcony. I placed the order the night before and the breakfast arrived right on time. They had kid-sized Crispy Malted Waffles with fresh fruit, and Farm Fresh Eggs with Bacon and pan potatoes. My kids enjoyed every minute of it.
We had such a great staycation at Four Seasons Whistler. With complimentary stuffies my kids each received, they will forever be reminded of the great family trip we had in Whistler.
