The First Cheese & Meat Festival Comes to Vancouver
VANCOUVER, B.C., The Cheese and Meat Festival, featuring ethically produced meats and cheese from around the world, is the first of it’s kind to show in Vancouver. The event makes it Vancouver debut on September 17, 2016.
“The idea of the Meat and Cheese Festival came out of a few conversations from local cheese and charcuterie shops to have a prominent platform to showcase their products,” says David Bain, Cheese and Meat Festival producer. “You see the artisan cheese and charcuterie meats at other festivals, but always as the sidekick to craft beers and wines. This time they are the stars of the show.”
With the recent boom in artisan shops across Canada, the Cheese and Meat festival aims to showcase both international and local cheese and meat, in an experiential tasting format. With over 40+ vendors expected, attendees will enjoy bite size tastes of cheese and meat while pairing the bites with wine, beer and cider.
The Cheese & Meat Festival was first announced in Victoria, with tickets quickly selling out within a month. The Vancouver event is expected to follow suit.
